Outlook 2019 stuck at loading profile

Ran the SARA (Support and Recovery Assistance) troubleshootingġ2. Started outlook.exe /safe which opens fast.ġ1. Deleted the Outlook folder (including all OST files) and let things get re-created.Ħ. Full repair (gave me an error and used Microsoft's tool to remove all office projects and re-installed everything.)Ĥ. Outlook 2016 hangs on loading profile for over 2 minutes.ģ. I don't know why this worked, but i'm sharing it in case it helps anyone else.

Neither am I sure why it still didn't work as the computer is running Windows 7 SP1 anyway.Īfter that Outlook opened immediately and would close and reopen perfectly. I am not sure why this was ticked in the first place - this was there by default. Untick the box next to 'Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 7 Service Pack 1'. Right click on the Outlook 2016 shortcut and select the Compatibility tab.

Completely uninstall and reinstall Office 2016.Run both 'quick' and 'full' repairs of Office 2016.Add registry key to DisableHardwareAcceleration.Delete and re-create the Outlook profile.Windows 7 Pro SP1 (brand new installation) with Office 2016 (brand new installation) connecting to local Exchange 2013 server mailbox. Throughout troubleshooting, other symptoms that occurred were: Outlook would load and error immediately with 'Could not open information store'.
